3.5 stars. I'm torn about the rating. Overall, I liked the book, but I thought the author portrayed Longmore as stupider than he was. The story kept telling, over and over, that he was nearly simple-minded, only able to hold on to one thought at a time. However, it showed an entirely different person. That annoyed me.
