The premise of this book, that a lady would put her dead husband on ice and go to a ball as if everything was fine, is what drew me in. Such an interesting start. Too bad it didn't stay that way.
The romance, if it can even be called that, was way too fast and completely unbelievable.
The main villain decided to confess in a way that reminded me of Scooby Doo: "Here's exactly what I did and why. And I would've gotten away with it too, if not for you darn kids!"
The plot was just barely interesting enough to pull me to the end, and even that was a disappointment. The setup for future books could not be more obvious. Meh.
