2.5 stars. I read the first four books in this series back-to-back because the library book I checked out was all four together. They are all sort of blurred together. The names are still terrible, even after four books. The books aren't exactly good, but they're not terrible either. They are decent brain crack and entertaining enough to keep me reading, possibly past the first four.
Zsadist. Terrible name aside, I really did want to like him. And I did... eventually, kind of. But, seriously, dude, it's been like 100 years. If you can't get over your hangups in that amount of time, I'm not sure some magical woman is going to magically fix you with the magical power of love. I know we all want to think there's a soft, happy emotional core in there (which is how Ward spins it), but you're pushing the limits of skepticism.
